在水中加入市场上通用的壁纸清除剂后，涂在旧壁纸上。清除剂能够较快且较容易的渗入到壁纸中，并达到脱离胶液的目的。 对于表面耐擦洗和耐磨的壁纸来说，必须在清除前用钉辊破坏壁纸表面，刺出小孔，使水能够渗入进去。在完全渗入后，可以用铲刀清除。
